This is an unusual senior role for a finance specialist, in which the right person will make a siginficant contribution to the business health and success of the agency.
Nowadays the fees marcomms agencies charge their clients are complex, and are closely scrutinised, usually by procurement professionals. The agency must make a fee proposal which is competitive, but still profitable.
Our client is a global network agency, and its Prague office is one of the biggest in the local market. In this role, the business analyst will put together fee proposals, both for tenders in which the agency participates and for new fee proposals for existing clients. To do this successfully the right person must understand the cost bases of the agency and how they are calculated. He or she will be confident in personally defending the proposals made, both internally and to clients, in the form of often aggressive procurment managers.
The right candidate would ideally be someone who is a No 2 to the CFO in a large agency, or a CFO in a smaller agency. Otherwise someone with similar experience will of course be welcome. You are most likely to be successful if your experience has been gained in a business whose primary assets are its people - consultancies of various kinds, with demanding clients. You will be comfortable with the unique diversity of people who go to make up a global advertising agency, and enjoy being part of a team that plays in one of the toughest competitive leagues in business.
